Identical drawback right here. I had this drawback a pair instances up to now and was all the time capable of clear up it. This time I’m not. The motive force installs however there’s a signature drawback (Code 52, little yellow exclamation mark in system supervisor). Thus the motive force doesn’t begin and there’s no faucet system.
I attempted to uninstall previous variations, clear the registry, eliminated suspicious third get together software program and so forth. No success….
Is there anything I coud attempt?

The best technique to work round this drawback is to put in tap-windows6 9.21.2 from right here whereas we determine the right resolution.

If it provides any clues, the writer within the 'Packages & Options' management panel merchandise reveals up incorrectly. Maybe this flows via the motive force writer too giving rise to the signature error? It reveals up at ${PRODUCT_PUBLISHER}, not OpenVPN, Inc. as you'd anticipate.

The PRODUCT_PUBLISHER factor is a separate drawback. I've create new Home windows installers which bundle the previous tap-windows6 model. That is an interim resolution whereas determining how one can make MS signal the motive force.

open cmd immediate by way of Begin Menu, 'Home windows System', proper click on on CMD (DOS immediate), Extra, then choose Run as Administrator
on a command line sort:
bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on
This turns off integrity checking of unsigned driver - permits unsigned drivers to be put in
- run / set up your software program, openVPN TAP software program
Take a look at after which run the next to show integrity checking again on
bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks off
It is a everlasting repair, not momentary for this session.

ghost887 did you repair the issue? It began for me a couple of week in the past.
Not one of the fixes on this thread, or others I attempted from different boards, labored for me.

I simply solved the issue I used to be having. Though re-reading this publish it's possible you'll be having a unique drawback.
Anyway on my OpenVPN shopper machine I ran this command "As Administrator":
C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsTAP-WindowsUtilitiesAdd a brand new TAP digital ethernet adapter.lnk
I used to be making an attempt to run it on my OpenVPN server machine. Nevertheless it already had a correctly functioning TAP digital ethernet adapter.
Perhaps this helps.

I've uninstalled and re-installed a number of instances below completely different eventualities.
I've tried it with SecureBoot disabled.
I've tried it with SecureBoot disabled and driver integrity examine turned off.
I've ran it as administrator.
I've tried to manually set up.
Nothing works. It all the time locks up, and instances out about Four minutes later.
I solely have home windows defender for AV. Its a brand new laptop computer with a contemporary set up of home windows 10 model 1803 Construct 17134.345

This labored for me:open cmd immediate by way of Begin Menu, 'Home windows System', proper click on on CMD (DOS immediate), Extra, then choose Run as Administrator
on a command line sort:bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on
This turns off integrity checking of unsigned driver - permits unsigned drivers to be put in
- run / set up your software program, openVPN TAP software programTake a look at after which run the next to show integrity checking again on
bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks off
It is a everlasting repair, not momentary for this session.
This labored for me - thanks a lot! I did need to disable Safe Boot first, then do that, after which re-enable Safe Boot however it's working nice now. Thanks once more!
